YOUR DATA, IN CONTEXT

A clearer view of your privacy.

This notice explains how VITALNEX handles data when you browse public pages, sign in or submit a form.

Account and reading data

When you create a VITALNEX account, the site stores your email address, display name and a salted password hash. We use the identifier to associate saved stories, recent reading history, topic preferences and membership waiting-list status with your account. The site does not store your password in plain text.

Email preferences

The newsletter form records your email address, consent and selected interests in the site database. When the sending service is configured, you will receive a confirmation email before any newsletter campaigns. You can unsubscribe through an email link or turn off the newsletter preference in your account.

Editorial messages and optional billing

Contact and correction forms store your name, email address, story reference and message in the editorial inbox for authorized editors. Do not include private medical information. If paid membership is enabled, Stripe handles checkout; the site records provider customer and subscription identifiers, status and the paid period, and does not store card details. If newsletter delivery is enabled, Resend processes the recipient address and email content.

Browser storage and cookies

Anonymous saved stories and selected comparison devices are stored in your browser. Signed-in access uses an expiring, secure session cookie. The site does not load advertising trackers or external analytics scripts. Reading events associated with your signed-in account contribute to the CMS view counts.

Images, external links and your choices

Editorial images are served with the site. Following a source link opens another organization's website, where its own privacy notice applies. You can clear browser-local saves by removing them or clearing this site's local storage, and sign out through account settings.

Public access and privacy questions

Public articles and device information can be read without signing in. Account features require sign-in, and the editorial CMS requires an authorized role. Use the Contact form for privacy questions or account-data requests; messages are recorded for authorized editors. Do not include private medical information. Operator identity, retention and deletion procedures, processor disclosures and applicable consent controls still need to be established for the actual services and markets in use.
